How it works

UPullScan reads the car lists that self-serve salvage yards already publish on their own websites, and prices the parts on those cars against completed eBay sales for the same part. It is a research tool, not a marketplace: nothing here is a quote, an offer, or an inspection.

Method

A yard goes on the site once four things are true: it is surveyed and confirmed self-serve, its arrivals are measured off its own feed, its inventory is scanned, and its parts are priced against completed eBay sales (its own counter prices where it publishes one). Every published link is checked live before it ships.

Data sources and cadence

Every car comes from a yard's own published inventory page -- never a login, never a submitted form. Ryan's Auto Parts and the yards on the Ario platform, Sterling Auto Parts and Parts Galore are read every 15 minutes; Kenny U-Pull Windsor every 30 minutes; Pontiac U-Pull once an hour; every other yard once a night. Between 02:00 and 05:00 Eastern nothing is read except the one nightly pass. Prices come from completed eBay sales, aggregated, dated, never a live listing reprinted.

Contact

One address for corrections, wrong listings, yard opt-outs and privacy requests: contact@upullscan.com. A yard that asks us to stop reading its site is stopped within 24 hours. See the data policy for what we read and how, and the terms for what this site is and is not.
